Baxter joined our family December 11, 2020, through the National Great Pyrenees Rescue. A mix of pyr and a type of shepherd, Baxter arrived at a Virginia foster home from Texas. Over our first 3 months, we slowly gained his trust as he started to leave the security of our fenced yard and screened patio to join us in our home. He followed up soon thereafter by learning to walk on a leash, and now, he loves to go on our family walks and hikes. We can't express enough how proud we are of Baxter who blesses our family with his friendly smile, companionship, guardianship, and love.
