Gertie. When she joined our family from the Pyr Rescue, she had a lot of unknown emotional trauma and a bum leg. She wouldn't walk on wood, tile, concrete. We had to put her on a large piece of cardboard and and slide her to go outside. Or lift and carry. She was afraid of people, the car, leashes, the hallway, the cellar, rain, any sewer or manhole cover, the brush, the bed and more. With time and love she has gained confidence and her joyful independent self shines through. Strong legs now too! We love her and feel blessed.
