Meet Miss Ida, a 7 yo Great Pyrenees and Karakachan mix adopted from NGPR in April 2018. Owner surrendered to a high kill shelter in VA and formerly kept outside on a farm. After rescue by NGPR, she went on the run in known location in the woods behind her NGPR foster’s home for 3 months until she finally let her awesome foster approach her. Lots of tasty roast chicken and beef 3x a day helped! Now the beauty girl, who loves to hunt for wild bunnies and is the most gentle soul, is our beloved and happy house dog and official couch potato! It has been pure joy to see Ida thrive in our home and express her funny personality. Loving her makes my life better every day.
