Gracie and I rescued each other when both of our lives were a mess. Her actual background is unknown, but there definitely are emotional scars present in Gracie. She didn't even know how to act like a dog when I got her. Frightened of everything from turning on a lamp to a quick movement would make her coward. With my extensive patience and love, Gracie was introduced to behavioral therapist, a trainer, doggie day care, and especially a warm and welcoming home. She has learned what love is, and is slowly trusting others now. Her heart smiles now.
