Photo File Submissions
Photos Must:- Be high resolution (300 dpi)
- Files should be saved as JPGs, minimum file size 4MB
- Be vertically formatted
- Be in color
- Contain only pets (no people). Photos can contain more than one pet.
- Pets should be photographed in a "literary pose" (e.g., positioned near a book, in a library or book store, etc.)
- Entries must be submitted and paid for online. You may submit as many entries as you like, for a minimum donation of $25 each. However, if friends or family members are encouraged to spread their votes out over multiple campaigns, this will reduce the chance of each pet photo winning a prize in the contest.
Things to consider when choosing your photo:- Please choose a photo with the highest resolution possible. Only photos able to be printed 5x7 inches and vertical in format will be considered for inclusion in the winners' calendar.
- Any image that includes people, or content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene, as determined by the NBF, will be removed from the Photo Fundraiser.
- Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments).
- Photographs must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.
- No hard copy entries will be accepted. You must enter your photo(s) via gogophotocontest.com
- Submission of entry represents your consent for photo(s) to be posted for voting and to be used in the NBF Calendar, if chosen, at no charge to NBF. NBF will retain the rights to use any photo submitted in any advertising or printing in the future. Please be sure to clarify any usage restrictions with any photographers you may have an ownership claim to your images.
Tips to Help You Become a Winner:- Use the social media links within the contest to promote your pet to your friends and family, and encourage them to share on their pages as well! Remember, the more people who know about your entry, the more likely you are to win!
- Create business cards with your direct link to pass out wherever you go over the 4 week campaign period! Sites like Vistaprint offer specials all the time, so be on the lookout!
- Consider a campaign party or get together at your home, or at a local pub or restaurant to raise money!
- And finally, the most important thing you can do to increase donations to your entry is to remind people that every vote is a donation to the Nantucket Book Foundation! We rely on donations from our community for the success of our programs. Thank you for your support—we couldn't do it without you!
