Please tell us about your Coronado Memory

Our Coronado Memory is of a photo that was taken right before we were married. As you can see, I’m on top of the surfboard. It’s Randy’s surfboard. Randy, along with his two sons and my two sons are holding me up. I got the idea from Mark and Lori Blumenthal who did a similar photo.

It was taken on Coronado Beach. It was a beautiful day. It was a very happy day. We both had been divorced for a couple of years. The boys all knew each other from ball games and were encouraging us to get married.

For the photo, we decided that everyone should wear white shirts and blue jeans. Our boys didn’t wear white shirts very often so I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on them. Two of the shirts were women’s from T.J. Maxx. The boys didn’t know they were women’s shirts, but they wondered why the buttons were on the wrong side. I told them they were designer shirts.
