Your Pet's Rescue StoryMy name is Pippah and I am a little 4lb pip! I was 4 weeks old when a large dog chomped down on my wee head; probably because I was stealing his chewy!
My owners placed me in a black shoe box, covered me with tissues, then taped the box shut with duct tape for the trip to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay for my euthanasia. When they opened the box and peeled away the paper I popped up! Then rose up on my hind legs to lick the chin of the nice rescue nurse. Well she saw that my left eye was not where it should be and I had a large bulge on the top of my head; but I was happy! The surgery team gave me a slim chance to make it through an anesthesia, because I was SO small (less than a pound.); but the surgery was a success!. Gosh did I wake up with a headache!
The doctor took me home where I recovered on a beautiful, comfy bed in my teeny crate with syringe feedings of water and food every two hours for three days. Soon I began to chew on my foster dog Mom's ears and with only one eye I managed to chase down the cat! Finally, the day came to travel to the Humane Society to find my forever home. I sure was going to miss my foster dog Mom and was scared I might be stepped on or hurt at a new place. So the next day... I was adopted!! By my foster dog Mom and the doctor and now I never let them out of my sight. Don't let my appearance fool you... I can spot a treat anywhere!
