Your Pet's Rescue Story
FluffyCat was born 5 years ago in a swampy Alafaya forest. Her first 3 years surviving Cotton Mouth snakes, Coyotes, Owls, Bobcats, Racoons and other cats was nothing less than a miracle.
Then I moved in right next to the forest where good neighbors had been feeding her daily.
And then FluffyCat chose me ! I began feeding her outside, for a year. And on Veteran’s Day 2020, she stepped through my door and is now living a safe, happy, playfull, life with me.
She is in perfect health. She is the love of my life. She is sooooo sweet and docile, with a meow to make your heartstrings cry. I built a large jungle for her, with platforms, using large felled trees from her forest, that gives her full close 2nd story view of her very own animal filled forest.
Last year I left the ground entrance door open and she took an 8 week vacation. I was heartbroken thinking she may not come back with 30 posters and an army friends looking for her. I would leave the door open for her with food and litter box outside. But no FluffyCat. Then one night around 2 am I hear an emphatic meow and there she was, at the top of the stairs way up in the loft where we sleep. But when I sat up in joyful exuberance, she bolted out the door back into the darkness.
The next night I put food on the second floor in my view while sleeping and set up a trip string to the door and all the way up to the loft and fell asleep.
About 2 am I wake to a crunch crunch crunch.
And there she was… for 5 minutes I watched her devour a bowl of food. And when she raised her head I snipped the string, and the rest is pure bliss ! The love of my life was finally back, 1/2 her weight, but healthy and unharmed by nature.
And what was the Date ? Veteran’s day last year.
