Your Pet's Rescue Story
This is Pete. When I got home from work a few months ago I noticed him seeking shelter under a car in the driveway. He was a little cautious but eventually allowed me to feed him. He stayed in the vicinity and was there the next few mornings and evenings for food, and within a couple days he would allow me to pet him. It was clear that he appreciated the affection. It also became clear that he had serious health issues. He had considerable nasal discharge and his breathing was labored with loud wheezing. I was able to get him into a carrier and to the vet. With treatment of antibiotics and removal of a large polyp he was completely healthy and ready to come home. He immediately settled in and it was clear that he was here to stay. Over the last few months he has become even more affectionate, loving, energetic, and happy. There is not a mean bone in his body! I like to think that we rescued each other. His medical journey as well as some rough personal times I was going through were both made easier because we had each other.
