Your Pet's Rescue StoryI met Hannah when she was just a kitten. At my old house we would feed the outdoor cats that were regulars to us and before we were able to trap them and get them fixed I pulled in the driveway after work one day and I saw this little peeping head coming from behind the trash can. I ran inside and got my dad and screamed, “There’s a kitten outside! There’s a kitten outside behind the trash can!” He came running out and we chased her down a little bit because she had never known a human in her life and we caught her. We brought her inside to clean her off because she was just a baby, but a running one at that. She hated her bath and with her parents being fully feral we decided with her age that we brought inside so she stays inside! The next day we actually caught her brother (we think) who was only a tiny bit bigger than her and he crawled up in my car engine and he was more of a battle to catch, took over two hours to catch him. I wasn’t comfortable going to work with the potential of a kitten being in my engine and he hid in there well! We eventually got him and put them together. We brought them inside and they haven’t left our house since. We did end up trapping most of the female adult cats as we could and getting them fixed through the county and didn’t have anymore kittens running around after that. The personality of a young adult/teenager this one has. I call her my honey bunny because she’s honestly the sweetest thing to come home to and every time I see her she’s so happy to see me. She’s small built but she’s as gorgeous as ever. She’s also a very picker eater for coming off the street! She can be interactive or just watch you from a distance but she has nothing but pure love in her heart as does her brother. They both have two different personalities but she’s proven to be the most photogenic. She’ll come up to you and let her pet her but she hates being held and picked up. She loves being her own “person” and deciding when she wants to be a part of things. We saved her and her brother in 2020 and they haven’t been any less of part of the family since. She truly is a one of a kind cat that I’ve experienced in my life and I’ve never experienced something of life so happy to see me when I come home. She’s the sweetest cat.
