Your Pet's Rescue Story
Hi! My name is Queen. I lived chained up in a parking lot for two years, with no one to be nice to me, until the people from Orange County Animal Services found me, almost starved and really sick. They kept me a while, but no one wanted me because I was too scared to come near. Pet Alliance came and got me, because OCAS was out of space. Then my mom and dad came for me!! But I wasn't happy. I wouldn't come near them, either, and tried to dig my way out of their house, and chew my way out of the windows. I was too afraid to walk through doorways, and I just shook and shook when anyone looked at me or talked to me. I didn't like to be petted or touched, and didn't know how to be a dog. I just sat in the corner, trying not to be noticed by people. Mom and dad said that if they saw my tail wag just one time within the next five years, it would be a success story.

Now, five years later, mom says I came with my tail broken in the off position, but now it is broken in the on position. I wake mom and dad every morning with my tail wagging so hard! I run and play all the time, and even have friends at the dog park (though it took two years for me to go near them, but they were good, patient pups).

Now I have a brother and sister who were also from OCAS with help from Pet Alliance, and love going for walks with them. My brother has even taught me about things like eating grass and barking at ducks.

I am so glad the nice people at Pet Alliance took care of me, and helped mom and dad get me healthy. I hope all of the scared, sad dogs out there find their way to the nice people at Pet Alliance, and to their furever home, just like I did. And sorry to all of the nice people at Pet Alliance who I peed on - I was really scared back then!
