Your Pet's Rescue StoryReya was adopted in 2020 from Hillsbourgh County Animal Shelter. She was originally dropped off in a area where people are known to abandon animals, she was found by a lady by the name of Linda, Linda and her husband kept her overnight but couldn't keep her because they had 5 dogs themselves. Linda slept out in her garage with Reya, the next day she was turned over to the animal shelter, Linda always kept in touch to find out if Reya had been adopted. Another couple with a three-year-old daughter adopted Reya, her original name from this adopted family was Rosie, their three-year-old daughter could not pronounce the name correctly, So when the daughter tried to pronounce the name Rosie, it came out as Reya, and so that name stuck. That family returned her to the animal shelter because Reya is very protective of her surroundings and her family, that particular family was social and always had visitors, it didn't work out with Reya, so they returned her to the shelter. In the meantime, me and my husband lost the last of our dogs with cancer and our house was too big and silent without four paws running around. We decided to adopt, had our eyes on another dog but fell in love with Reya. We have enjoyed Reya more than ever, Linda contacted us, she received our information from the animal shelter, we have been in contact with Linda for the last two years, sending her pictures of Reya. And that is her story, and we are her final chapter.
