Your Pet's Rescue StoryAriel was my 11th foster through Husky Haven of Florida (HHOFL) and my official “foster fail”. She came to the rescue at 2 years old, I adopted her at 3 and have had her for 3 years come this September. She came to me after she was previously adopted and returned to the rescue. Before coming to the rescue, she came from a breeder who gave her to HHOFL after being advised not to breed her because of an autoimmune disease. Ariel is what those within the HHOFL rescue call “handicapable”. She has Uveodermatologic Syndrome (aka VKH), an autoimmune disease affecting pigmented cells of the body. It’s now fully under control and she just has two medications she’ll take for life to keep the disease at bay. Please vote for my girl - she’s the fluffiest, cutest, and sweetest!
