Your Pet's Rescue Story
Tommy was surrendered to Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando in late 2017 when he was a kitten. As the shelter vet examined him prior to his neuter surgery, she discovered that Tommy had a fairly severe heart murmur. Thanks to the support of Pet Alliance and the generosity of their donors, Tommy went to a foster home and was able to get the additional diagnostic tests he needed to learn more about his condition and get him ready for his forever home.

I was volunteering at the shelter when Tommy first came in, and was drawn to him immediately. However, I had just adopted a kitten and knew that it wasn't the right time to add another kitty to the mix immediately. So I followed his story through his foster's social media, and a few months later, Tommy was ready for a forever home and I was ready to adopt him.

Tommy is currently doing well on daily medication for his heart condition. Even more importantly, he has no idea he's sick. He truly enjoys each day to the fullest and is a joy to be around!
