Your Pet's Rescue Story
My boyfriend, Sean, and I had both lost our beloved dogs over the past few years and had talked about being ready for another dog. We had been to the Pet Alliance, which is where he had adopted his previous dog Roxy, but we just hadn’t found the right dog. In October of 2018, I was in Denver on a business trip and Sean told me he had a surprise for me. He did that a lot and it was usually something small and thoughtful so I didn’t think much of it. After he picked me up from the airport and brought me home, we sat out on the lanai enjoying the pleasant evening and he reminded me of the surprise. He walked over and opened the screen door to the back yard and in walked this sweet, cute little puppy that he had adopted from the Pet Alliance while I was gone, and she ran over to me. We wanted to give her a name that meant something to us, and after much deliberating, we settled on Lila after his late grandmother. The name just fits her perfect! Lila has been with us for a year and 9 months now and we’ve had so much fun training her, taking her on golf cart rides, teaching her that she can swim in our pool, taking her camping and trying to resist letting her sleep with us in our bed! Who can resist those big brown eyes?! We don’t have kids so we consider her our family and she has definitely filled a void in our lives!
