Your Pet's Rescue Story
Black Friday of 2019, my boyfriend and I decided to go to Petco and buy some of their pet food deals to bring to Pet Alliance and donate. Once we walked in, knowing that I have been wanting to adopt for some time, we went to go look at the dogs they had in the shelter. We looked at the cages a few times and for whatever reason I just kept coming back to “Rubio” as they called him at the shelter. He was a rescue from Puerto Rico during the hurricane. He was terrified in the cage, so I asked one of the staff members if I could see him out in the play area, and it was a good thing too because someone was waiting right after me to see him too. My boyfriend was not as set on him as I was so he needed some convincing on having Henry as a pet as he was very shy and timid inside the cage and he wanted one with personality. Once he got into the play area I think he knew where he needed to suck up because he went right for his face and started licking and loving on him and that was it. We took him home, we loved on him and he has been my little shadow ever since. Dogs are the best.
