Your Pet's Rescue Story
Chip was brought to a vet's office at around 3 weeks old after being hit by a car. He had to have his back right leg amputated and also lost 1/2 of his right ear and a couple toes. When our daughter took her 3-legged rescue dog to his visit the tech's said they had a matching kitten, missing the same leg. He was so little they had to use a mini paper plate as his cone of shame and since it was October they painted it as a pumpkin. We said we would adopt him immediately, but didn't know if he would survive. Our daughter visited him when she could and received daily updates. We were so excited when he could go home. He never lost a beat with our other cats and greyhounds. His best friend is Winchester our daughter's 3-legged wonderdog- they play and snuggle and gnaw on each other's legs. Chip is the most loving and happy cat and has been a saving grace during this pandemic providing much needed laughs and purrs. I love when I find him snuggling with my husband or son who are working on the frontlines. He also loves stealing and playing with wine corks. He digs them out of a vase and we find them all over the house in the morning. Perfect wine cat -- well perfect cat!
