Your Pet's Rescue StoryFrasier came home with us in late-April 2019. My husband and I had been wanting a dog for years, but were waiting for the right moment and that day happened to be Fraiser's (née Carson) first day at Pet Alliance.
He was picked up as a stray and transferred when no one claimed him. I'll never forget the moment when my husband whispered "I like Carson" and I looked over to see him sitting, quietly enjoying the view. It was love at first sight and love at first (play) bite. He couldn't come home with us just yet, so I slipped him a treat through the fence, told him I loved him and that we would be back on Monday.
I can scarcely tell you what life was like before him. I'd had family dogs before, but having this little life that totally trusts, loves, and depends on you gives you an entirely new perspective. It shows you how sharing love and compassion can alter not only someone else, but also yourself.
Frasier has given us not only boundless love, companionship, and a million puppy kisses, but also a whole new set of interests and hobbies, more friends who are themselves dog parents, and an altogether more enriched life. I can't even imagine what the last year and a half, not to mention the last few months, would have been like without the camaraderie, sense of purpose, and happiness he has given us. He is a big brother, a huge fan of baseball (except for the mascots), and a decorated Petco training graduate.
