Your Pet's Rescue Story
Duke was found wondering in Hillsborough North Carolina as a puppy in 200. Shortly after his intake to the local county shelter, he was adopted by our family. From the moment we brought him home, Duke has been the light of our lives. He was a destructive puppy and ate the cover off of the grill (more than once), chewed off the corners of a coffee table, and tore apart throw pillows, but his big block head and even bigger smile made him impossible to stay mad at. With age, Duke became less destructive and began to focus all of his time and energy into loving on every single person he encounters. Duke has stood by our family through multiple out of state moves, new jobs, new pets, despite the stress and many changes throughout his life, his love for his humans has never wavered. Duke is now 13 years old and was recently diagnosed with a rare form of Lukemia. While we don't know how much time we have left with our boy, we do know that every last day will be spent taking care of Duke, who has taken care of our family SO well for the last 13 years.
