Your Pet's Rescue Story
Ace chose me almost 17 years ago. I was visiting a local animal rescue, the ARNI Foundation in Daytona Beach, to check out a different kitten, but noticed a litter of unique-looking tuxedo cats sleeping with their mother in another cage. I went over to take a closer look, and he was the only one who woke up to greet me. He made his way to the top of the cage where he reached for my fingers through the bars, showing his personality. That one fateful day led to many wonderful years of pet friendship. Through countless moves and life's ups and downs, my little buddy was there to celebrate, as well as console. He was definitely of the "curious cat" variety, with a friendly inquisitiveness for all who visited. From the black spot on his nose to his long tail that looked like it had been dipped in white paint, everyone enjoyed saying hello to this handsome fellow. Sadly, we said goodbye to him July 10, 2020. It's amazing how much one small cat can fill up a house. He may be gone, but because he was the first pet I cared for as an adult, and especially thanks to his charming personality, he will never be forgotten.
