A little about me...
Rocky is a 14-yr-old senior schnauzer with cataracts and no teeth, adopted from MSRH in July 2023. His photo is from his 1st Gotcha Day. Rocky is sweet, spunky, and can still show young pups a thing or two when it comes to long distance walks, stopping to enjoy the sniffs, and barking at delivery trucks! Since being adopted, Rocky has gone on many adventures, including: public festivals, the March for Marrow TX 5k, Pedernales Falls State Park, Galveston Island, Broken Bow Lake, and Beavers Bend State Park. No one ever believes that this handsome fella is 14-yrs-old! In the beginning, travel and new experiences gave Rocky anxiety. Now, he is an on-the-go pro and is interested in all things new! However, when the physical limitations of being a senior are greater than his stamina, he is content to ride in his stroller like a king in his chariot. Admittedly, there are times when the cataracts or shaky back legs slow Rocky down and make him unsure in his movements, but he can trust his little brother (Ogden) to stay with him and give him guidance. Due to the efforts of MSRH, Rocky is living his absolute best life in his twilight years, complete with abundant kisses and cuddles! We hope that his Last Adventure to cross the Rainbow Bridge will be very far in the future.

Everywhere he goes, Rocky is a model ambassador for the miniature schnauzer breed. His transformation is proof that love and patience are able to bring out the best in all of us. Most importantly, his adoption story inspires people to look at MSRH when searching for a new addition to their families, especially the seniors!
