How to Enter
To enter the contest, submit a photo of your rescue dog. A photo of any dog from a shelter or rescue organization can be entered.
Submitted images and written responses must be original creations of the entrant. By entering the contest, the entrant warrants that the photograph and description submitted are original, that they are the sole owner and the copyright holder of that photograph and description, and that they have not granted exclusive rights of that photograph to any other person or entity. The entrant also warrants that the photograph does not invade the right of privacy of any individual; does not infringe any trademark, trade name, trade secret, intellectual property rights, or other common law or statutory right; nor does it contain any material that otherwise violates any criminal prohibition or the personal proprietary rights of any individual.
You must complete a separate registration for every photo you wish to enter. Keep in mind that you cannot combine votes from separate photos/entries.
Once submitted, your entry cannot be deleted from the Contest unless deemed ineligible. The contest ends at 11:59:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, September 30, 2024. Please be advised that winners are determined by votes counted as of 11:59 pm on September 30th. If a vote does not register at that time it will not be counted.
Eligibility
The Contest is subject to all applicable national, federal, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Contestants who are 14 and under may participate in the contest with their parents' or guardians' assistance.
Eligible Pets
The Contest is limited: dogs that are from a rescue or shelter organization. Images of other dogs or animals will not be considered.
No photos with people are allowed.
Eligible Images
Any image that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by the staff of Muddy Paws Rescue in their sole discretion, will be removed from the contest.
Eligible Photographs:
- Acceptable photo formats are .jpg, .png, and .tif
- Photos must be high resolution (300 dpi/1MB or more)
- Contain only dogs (no people or wildlife)
- Be horizontal (landscape) format
How the Donate-to-Vote process works
Your pet will receive an initial 30 votes (1 vote per $1) during the entry process. After you submit your entry, you will have the opportunity to ask your friends and family members to donate-to vote by sending them the URL for your entry. Your friends and family can purchase one vote credit for every $1 they donate to support Muddy Paws Rescue and our programs. Voters must purchase a minimum of 5 vote credits ($5 donation).
How the winners are determined
At the end of the contest, the 12 photos with the most votes will receive full pages in the Muddy Paws Rescue 2025 calendar. The entrant that has the most votes will also be featured on the cover of the calendar, the three entrants with the most votes will get to choose their month.
