My husband and I were in Union Square on a snowy afternoon in December 2017 when we saw the MPR van outside of Petco. We had been talking about getting a dog but were not planning on adopting that day. Since Lex had only arrived the day before from Kentucky, his foster didn’t know much about him. We took Lex for a walk and filled out the adoption paperwork but decided to wait until we explored daycare options. As soon as we left I couldn’t stop thinking about Lex. We went home, made a few calls, and phoned MPR before they left for the day to say we’d pick him up the next morning. Lex has changed our lives for the best. He is the sweetest boy and has brought us and everyone he meets joy for 7 years now. Thank you MPR for bringing us together!
