Your Pet's Story or Bio
Slugger was foster/adopted from the HSMC 8 years ago. At 4 weeks old and under 3 pounds he was the runt of the litter and not expected to survive. Suffering from pneumonia he was isolated from his nine siblings and mother. Nurtured and hand fed by foster parents he was able to rejoin his family within 3 weeks. Named for his fight to survive, he consistently gained weight and grew into the handsome beauty he is today, all 96 pounds!

Slugger resides with his step-sister, also foster/adopted through the HSMC. Fostering is a wonderful way to provide a little extra time and TLC for shelter animals prior to their adoption. Please consider applying with the HSMC to foster an animal or sign-up to volunteer at the shelter.
