Your Story
Mika & Mila Puente made their arrival on 7/5/2022 at 2 & 4lbs. I faught until my body no longer let me. After several weeks and what seemed as the most longest days, we were finally able to bring them home. The NICU journey was tough but l'm glad my daughters had the opportunity to have a fighting chance. The NICU experience taught me a lot. I had to learn how to be patient when I had no other choice and Tam
grateful for even the smallest things in life. I am forever grateful for the NICU care team because without them, I wouldn't have my girls today. I am forever grateful for family and friends neighbors (far and near) that supported us through this. A simple message meant more than you know. Lastly, my heart goes out to all of the parents that are not able to bring their babies home and have a fighting chance. I truly wish everyone was able to be saved and have a chance.
Someday I will sit down and tell them the story of when they were born. I don't know what I'll say or how to begin but I'II be blessed that someday I'll get to sit down and say it.
