Your pet's story or bio
Hatchepsut was seized from an illegal Bengal breeder and had one kitten she was still nursing. We met at the Cherry Hill facility and it was love at first sight. The volunteers said she wouldn't let anyone hold her but she let me pick her up right away. She came home with me the next day.. She was terrified of my family at first because of the ill-treatment she received. It took four months for her to come out from under the bed and a year to sit on my lap. She now lets everyone pet her and we have since adopted Poe, the black cat, from tiny lions, whom Hatchy has decided is her foster baby. I would not hesitate to adopt another adult cat from MHS in the future.
Fun fact about your pet (optional)
Bengal cats are a cross between the domestic Abbyssinian and the wild Asian Leopard
