About Us
Mile High Weimaraner Rescue is a Colorado-based, nonprofit, 100% volunteer powered organization providing medical care, transportation, temporary housing, and breed-specific adoption services to Weimaraners in need. Expenses we incur include: Surgery, medicines, diagnostic testing, spay/neuters, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, behavioral treatment/rehabilitation and vaccinations. During the past two years we have placed over 150 Weimaraners in permanent homes and provided over $35,000 in veterinary care. Because we are a volunteer based organization we do not have a central location, all of our dogs are housed in foster homes or in partner boarding facilities.
The purpose of Mile High Weimaraner Rescue is to find loving, permanent homes for unwanted or abandoned purebred Weimaraners, by preparing prospective families for responsible dog ownership through education and support and by helping companions through training and behavior modification.
