Scotty is a 15-year-old Cairn terrier. Scotty and I fell in instant love when a coworker brought him into the office during my shift 15 years ago. He was an adorable runt of the litter at 8 weeks old. I immediately asked if he was for sale, which he was. I grabbed my checkbook and the rest is history. He slept in a paper box under my desk for the rest of my evening shift. All these years later, I wish I would have given more thought to his name - should have been “Rascal.” He was a “runner” when he was younger. So many days we’re spent tracking him down, or yelling to anyone at the door, “Don’t let Scotty out!” He’s slowed down now, but still gets excited and happy when at the beach.
