Sassy P. Gill
Pet's Story or Bio
Sassy was adopted as a very young kitten from a feral mob of cats that ate at my mother’s back porch. The first time I saw her I could tell that there was something terribly wrong with her. Not only because she moved by dragging her hind quarters behind her but because her bladder was massively distended with urine due to her spinal issues. To be honest I fully expected the vet to recommend euthanasia at Sassy’s first visit. But even that seemed more merciful than leaving her to be eaten by the neighborhood raccoons! To my relief however the vet explained, after Sassy was throughly examined, that she could have a good life if my husband and I were willing to adapt to her special needs. It’s been over five years since we accepted that mission and not a day goes by that I’m not grateful that we did!
