How would you describe their personality?
Here is some info. on Phoebe and Loki pictured, buddies who were both adopted from our local McCook Humane Society. I have been a lifelong animal rescuer, from wild birds and bunnies, to bottle feeding kittens and pulling dogs off the street. We think these are great projects you volunteers (The Cat Pack: Friends of the McCook Humane Society) are involved in to support the shelter.

Today Loki is around 6 years old and is a very sweet Yorkie. He’s a snuggle bug….always content to sit in a lap. He is such a lover and loves to give kisses…we call him "Licky Loki" because he will lick any bare skin.

Loki was abandoned on the shelter step with no story or background information given. LOL - We can’t believe somebody simply dumped him.

Phoebe was an 8 week puppy in September of 2006 when we first saw her at the Humane Society along with her two brothers, all “left over” pups from a breeder.

Sadly, Phoebe is no longer with us (she is currently running without pain over the Rainbow Bridge). She had to be put down last May due to severe arthritis from being hit by a car when she was two. She was badly broken and we were lucky to have such wonderful vets that put her together again.

Phoebe is greatly missed by our entire family, but especially my 5 year old daughter, Jaqi. They were best buds.
