Smokey had a rough start in rural North Carolina, rescued from a kill shelter by M.A.M.A.S. on his final day on death row. His only description from the county shelter was "he's scared." Who wouldn't be in that situation? But Smokey is anything but scared now! He loves playing with EVERY dog he meets and he's equally at home with quiet time indoors or on his many adventures outdoors: in the city, in the country, on the water, and in the mountains.
