A little about me...
Our daughter surprised us when she brought 3-month-old Coco into our home. Our granddaughter wanted her name to be "Cupcake," but she became Coco to us. Soon after we got her, we were in the midst of playing with her, She was fully engaged. Then, suddenly with no warning, she turned and ran out of the room and down the stairs as fast as her little legs could carry her. A few minutes later, she calmly returned. We wondered what happened. It turns out she did not want to stop playing, so she had waited until the very, very last minute to use the litter box
We were told her mom was a feral cat,. That might explain why she doesn't like the touch of human skin too much. We did not hear her purr until she was around between 4 and 5 years old.
We have learned to pet her and groom her very gently and carefully. We often turn mealtimes into problem-solving fun times for her. Now, she purrs when she sees her meals coming, when she's solving problems, and when she curls up on our laps. Sometimes she purrs so loud, people can hear her from the other side of the room.
In her 6 years, she has brought much laughter, happiness, concern, and joy into our home. We call her "Coco Loco" based on some of her antics.
