A little about me...
I rescued Roxy in Georgia in my senior year of college in 2007. She was surrendered by her owners at almost 2 yrs of age because they apparently just got tired of her and were keeping her in a crate all the time. An aquantaince of the owners and friend of mine took her in to save her from going to the shelter (where she would have been euthanized just for being a pit bull). I fell in love with her the moment I met her and my friends agreed to continue fostering her for a few more months until I graduated and could take her home with me. She was my best friend for 14 years, going through vet school, moving to Texas, my residency and PhD. The best best friend a girl could have. We lost her this past August to hemangiosarcoma but I was so blessed to have so many years with her in my life. I was inspired to help foster with LWH Bullies in hopes I can save more bullies and because every dog deserves to be someone's very special dog like Roxy was for me. She was one in a million!
