We got our little Peanut after waiting for years for a long haired dachshund. He is the cutest little wiggle but ever! When we took him for his shots at 12 weeks old, we were told he had a heart murmur (6 out of 6 on the scale and would maybe live a year). He needed heart surgery right away. We were devastated and the cost of surgery was daunting to say the least! Somehow, we were able to gather the funds, found a vet in our rural town willing to do the surgery and we went for it. We don't even remember the money now and the joy this little guy (who just turned 2) brings us is beyond our wildest dreams! Thank you low-rider rescue for saving little dogs! Although we were not a recipient of your help, I know the feeling when a life threatening or illness hits the little ones you love! It is a noble thing you dedicate yourselves to! Thank you!
