A little about me...
Snuggle buddies Maggie and Rodney. When my daughter was young she wasn’t fond of school. To help, I would make up stories about our puppy Peanut’s “school experiences“, which included a cast of adventurous friends. One of Peanut’s “best friends” was “Rodney” who drove a race car. When Peanut was 7, we decided to adopt a playmate for him. We searched for puppies, but our hearts were drawn to the photo of “Maggie” who had been returned twice. My daughter said, “ I want Maggie. She needs us!” So, Maggie became a welcome addition to our family. At 13, our beloved Peanut lost his battle with cancer. Heartbroken, my daughter said, “We need a ‘Rodney’ to be Maggie’s best friend, just like in your stories.” Our search led us to an adorable tri-pie mini. Unbeknownst to us, he was “leftover” from a litter with intent to breed him for his handsome markings. However, apparently his “docile personality” was a turnoff, so now he was a “castoff.” Living in a cage filled with soiled shredded newspaper, just like Maggie, we knew, he needed us... our “Rodney” needed us... and we, him! We love our Rodney P. (Peanut), docile character and all!
