A little about me...
Chessie, short, for Francesca, was rescued Thanksgiving weekend in 2011 as a puppy. After a month in a high-kill shelter in central California, her pawrents saw her and made her part of our family! Now an east coast pup and all grown up. Some people might say she even looks like the dog emoji! Her favorite activities include snuggling under blankets, trotting on sidewalks, sunbathing, and being where her people are. She has even traveled to places like New Orleans, San Diego, and Seattle. Most recently she was the ringbearer for her pawrents wedding this past June in Maine.

After a near-fatal health scare earlier this year, her family is grateful for every day their ray of sunshine lights up their lives and all those she meets. We are all excited to help out other pups given that she was the inspiration for one of her pawrents to foster and network shelter dogs!
