For over 50 years, the Longmont Humane Society (LHS) has been a cornerstone of animal welfare in our community. With a dedicated staff and passionate volunteers, we care for nearly 4,000 homeless animals annually, finding homes for 98% through our innovative programs. A crucial component of our success is our transformative Training and Behavior Modification Department (TBMD).
Our TBMD doesn't just house dogs - it unlocks their potential for happy, lifelong homes. Every dog receives a personalized plan, from in-depth evaluations to expert training for socialization, calmness, and successful adoption. We even support adopters with post-adoption guidance and training classes. The impact? Reduced euthanasia, increased adoptions, and stronger human-animal bonds. Our success attracts requests nationwide, but a two-year waitlist cripples our reach. This year we are working hard to raise funds and invest in expanding our TBMD so we can save even more lives.
