Tali lost her front leg in Hurricane Harvey and, after being treated and shipped up to Colorado, was adopted out from LHS for several years. Unfortunately she was returned to LHS in spring 2022 at a dangerous 106 lbs. She was in poor health and could barely walk.

I started fostering Tali in Oct 2022. After eight months of fostering her, I had fallen in love and couldn't let her go. We officially adopted her in July 2023! Her health journey was a difficult and slow process, but each week she was able to walk a tiny bit further than the week before. She has lost 55 lbs since then and is such a spunky and active girl now! She loves her daily walks (more like jogs!), going for hikes, camping, playing tug, sunbathing on the patio, and being a loveable weirdo. Tali is a whole new dog now!
