Shaq spent over 850 days with LHS! As a volunteer, I got to work with him and couldn't believe that no one wanted to give this high energy goofball a home! LHS started looking for a foster for Shaq at about the same time we said goodbye to our 16 year old LHS alum. We felt our remaining dog may benefit from having another dog around so we thought we'd foster Shaq for a few weeks to also give him a break from the shelter. Weeks turned into months and over the objection of our cats, we realized that this 60 lb lap dog was now home. After 9 months of fostering, we failed- and officially adopted him. Best failure of our lives!
