We were lucky to adopt Butters from Longmont Humane just two days before the COVID lockdown. He curled up in my lap in a big ball of fluffy purrs, and it was love at first sight. But don't let his charming personality, adorably squishy face, heart-shaped nose, and dreamy eyes fool you -- life hasn't always been easy for this Southern gentleman. Butters was transported to LHS from a Louisiana kill shelter. He survived high-risk surgery in 2023 after becoming paralyzed in his hind legs due to a degenerative spinal condition. Against all odds, he fully recovered and is better than before, thanks to his fighting spirit and paws-itive attitude! This little champion is more than just a pretty face -- he is an inspiration! We are forever grateful to LHS for giving him a 2nd chance and would be thrilled to see him featured in the calendar!
