I rescued Miss Winnie from LWDR 3/5/16. She was a puppy mill mama, and when I heard her story, there was no question. I was going to give her a Home, Love and the Life she deserved. It took a few days for her to come out of her shell, but once she did, she became the sweetest, most loving and silly girl. That year, my son gifted me a Christmas ornament that was a red and white floating life preserver, with a photo of Winnie inside. The caption on the life preserver was: Who Rescued Who? So true, and probably the most thoughtful and meaningful Christmas gifts I’ve ever received 💗
