Special Kitty (aka Speshy) was a rescue from a rural feral population who ended up seeking shelter on my property. His "clan" interbred which left Speshy with many unique 'features' - particularly the underdeveloped globe in his left eye. He had a terrible chest infection, multiple lacerations & infections, was under-nourished, & generally in rough shape. He wasn't expected to live long. It took many, many months to build his trust, but with our love & awesome vet care from the Wellesley Vet Clinic, he has been thriving & living his best life! Going from a cat we could hardly get near... to the most affectionate, loving guy now... who now I can't get off my lap. (Which is a challenge because he rarely retracts his claws so I have many tiny blood marks in my legs!) He's our special baby and we wouldn't trade any of his (expensive) challenges for anything.
