A rescued dog from Native Reserve on Manitoulin Island.
From a litter of 13 puppies, with a black bull mastiff mother and a golden retriever father. Most of the puppies were black like their mother, a few were fawn-colored like their father, and Cooper was small with a unique multi-shaded coat. Initially, Cooper had a difficult time with other puppies and was misunderstood. When I got him, he was a bit wary of males, but he has since become the best dog companion I could have hoped for. We love each other, and he gets along wonderfully with my cats.
