Lacey embodies strength, resilience, and the true meaning of second chances. In December 2018, she was on the euthanasia list at MCACC in Mesa, Arizona, after enduring unimaginable hardships—severe malnutrition, overbreeding, and a recent birth. She was terrified and had an upper respiratory infection. No one wanted her, and she was just minutes away from being put to sleep. But fate had other plans. Thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers and the power of social media, I saw her story and my heart knew she was meant to be mine.
Lacey's journey from despair to joy is nothing short of miraculous. Despite everything she endured, she overcame every obstacle with grace and has become the most loving, playful, and loyal companion. She’s not just a survivor—she’s a true champion, my champion.
