Kiwanis Club of Charlotte
Mission: To serve the children of the world by working to improve the lives of children and families one child and one community at a time. Who We Are: The Kiwanis Club of Charlotte is a membership-based service organization dedicated to improving the Charlotte, North Carolina community. Partnering with local nonprofit organizations and businesses, we use our club's resources to:
- improve quality of life through hands-on service projects;
- make a broader impact on pressing community problems through philanthropic initiatives; and
- stay informed about issues affecting our community through bi-weekly forums with community leaders.
As a part of the Kiwanis International family, we join with thousands of clubs around the globe that are focused on serving the children of the world.
What it Means to be a Member of the Kiwanis Club of Charlotte: Being a member of the Kiwanis Club of Charlotte means being part of a diverse, active group of individuals who genuinely desire to make a positive impact on the community. Members support and encourage one another, building lasting friendships as they work together through hands-on service projects, philanthropic initiatives, and weekly discussion of important community issues.
Our Vision: The Kiwanis Club of Charlotte envisions a day in which our club's impact in the Charlotte community is widely known and clearly measurable. We will accomplish this through partnerships with community leaders, nonprofits and businesses that share our mission to improve the lives of children and families in the Metrolina Region.
Tyler2Construction
With more than 38 years of operation, we have grown from a specialty upfitter to a general contractor that runs with the "Big Dogs". We've constructed more than 20 million square feet of new and remodeled office space, medical, light industrial and restaurant retail space. We are positioned to help the Charlotte region grow and wish the Kiwanis much success with this fundraiser.
Protagonist Beer
Protagonist Beer, located in the lower south end of Charlotte, was founded in 2018 celebrating people, place, and time with simply elegant beers. Beer is the everyman's drink and beer is better with people. That's why our beers are named after Protagonists who inspired them. We respect our planet and our great state by using ingredients that are sustainably farmed or North Carolina native. Our beers are odes to classic styles which call out, "Slow down, You're here". Protagonist will serve as our host brewery where we will have the kickoff and closing celebrations.
WBT
WBT is a commercial radio station serving the Charlotte metropolitan area including part of North and South Carolina. It is one of the oldest radio stations in the United States with 100 years of serving the community. The station airs a news/talk format simulcast on WBT-FM 99.3 and the HD2 digital subchannel of co owned WLNK. WBT broadcasts 50,000 watts around the clock as the only Class A clear channel station in the Carolinas.
Queen City Canine
Queen City Canine is a daycare, overnight boarding, and training facility founded in Charlotte by long-time trainer Alan Wooten. Alan has been training dogs in Charlotte for over 20 years! If you're have issues with obedience, leash walking, recall, jumping, excessive barking, or any other bad manners, then give us a call.
The Pilot Brewery
Life is a journey with many turning points and milestones. At one of these points, it was finally time for Rachael Hudson to showcase everything she learned over the past 6 years as a professional brewer. Trained at award winning breweries she decided it was time to showcase everything she has learned on a nano scale. Together, with her husband Jeff, a professional pilot and avid homebrewer, they had a conversation and fueled the beginning of Pilot Brewing. A slight play on words, Pilot Brewing references aviation, but more importantly focuses on small batch experimental beer. Combined with a 3-barrel Pilot system, and half-barrel "Co-Pilot" system we endeavor to expand the boundaries or craft beer by brewing original recipes that represent traditional and experimental styles of beer.
