Rules

• The Woofstock & Wieners 2016 Photo Contest is open to all dog owners.  KCHA honors all pets.
• The Woofstock & Wieners 2016 Photo Contest benefits the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association’s life-saving mission and vision. 
• The winners will be honored if they are available at the Woofstock & Wieners Festival for Fidos Event on Magic Island in Charleston, WV on June 18, 2016 at an awards ceremony.    
• Photos must be submitted online and must be of a single dog per photo and no humans are permitted to be included in the pictures submitted.  You may submit as many photos as you like but they must be on separate submissions.
• Online entries must be submitted by May 23, 2016 at 8:59:59 PM EST.
• Voting begins at 9:00 PM on May 23, 2016 and voting will end at 9:00 PM on June 15, 2016 at 9:00 PM.
• Votes are $1 with a $5 minimum online donation.
• Donations are fully tax deductible as permitted by law.  The Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 
• All photos submitted become the property of the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association and may be used for marketing and promotional purposes.  By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. KCHA reserves the right to disqualify at any time any photo it determines to be unsuitable. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. You agree to indemnify KCHA and hold them harmless from and against any claims of any nature arising in connection with Woofstock & Wieners 2016 Photo Contest. Entrants grant KCHA all rights of ownership, reproduction and royalty-free indiscriminate use of entries and photographs for any purpose. By submitting a photo to the Woofstock & Wieners 2016 Photo Contest, the artist agrees to give and grant to KCHA, its employees, nominees, agents, successors and assigns, unlimited authorization, consent and permission to publish and use, any and all information about the animal and any and all reproductions of animal's likeness (photographic or otherwise), and with or without the use or disclosure of guardian's name.

• Acceptable photo formats are .jpg, .bmp, and .png (.jpg is preferred).
• Photos may contain only one pet per photo.
• Photos must:
• be in color
• contain only pets (no people)
• be horizontal (landscape) format
• Any image that includes people, or content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene, as determined by the staff of KCHA, will be removed from the Photo Fundraiser.
• Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments)
• Photographs must either feature pets owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.

You can win special prizes by having friends and family vote for your pet's photo. Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery and be open to voting by the general public. Votes are $1 each, with a minimum $5 donation for five votes.

• All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.
• To vote online, click on the Participate tab above. The online voting period will end June 15, 2016 at 8:59;59 PM EST. Donate a minimum of $5 for five votes. Those votes can then be cast for any submitted photo in one-vote increments. Voters do not have to use all of the votes at the time of donation. When voters donate, they will be given the option of applying all of the votes to one photo, spreading their votes over various photos, or storing votes in their account. If a voter chooses to store the votes, voter can log in to their account using their ID and password and vote at a later time. All votes must be applied to selected photos by the conclusion of the voting period to be counted.
• Ending time for the Photo Fundraiser will be determined by the host website's server, which will show prominently on the Photo Fundraiser website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser.
• The photograph with the most votes (donations) at the end of the submission period will win the voting portion of the Photo Fundraiser.
• All votes are donations to Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law.
