My Name is

My Story
I was adopted from the Ozaukee County Humane Society in Wisconsin on June 13, 1996. And I lived a deluxe life with my mom in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. If you’re wondering who the cutie in the pic is, it’s my mom’s niece. She is 14-years old now and in high school! Gosh I loved her!
I made my way into the hearts of some people (my grandparents) that had never once loved a cat. But they loved me. Your welcome. In her younger years my mom was a nanny and was invited to spend the summer with the family in Maine. She said she would only go if I could come, so guess which feline spent almost 3 months sniffing the ocean air?!
I loved everyone and everything! The family dog, lots of other kitty friends, and I even made friends with the neighbor’s bunny who was litter box trained. That was convenient when I visited!
It was extremely difficult when my mom found out that I had a cancerous mass attached to my nasal bone and part of my brain. But, my mom vowed to not let me suffer. I was 15 years old when I crossed the rainbow bridge on September 21, 2010. My mom was holding me, and my grandparents were there too. My mom celebrates my life on that day every.single.year.
...And when she was ready, she adopted another cat (Alexander, named after my middle name), she found out that he was actually born on the day that I crossed the rainbow bridge!! It was meant to be! My mom also has some of my ashes that were made into glass beads and can wear me around her neck whenever she wants.

My favorite pastime is
Finding any box or basket to sit in. So they nicknamed me “Basket Boy”. I also loved food. A LOT! And once weighed about 19 pounds!

The best thing anyone's ever done for me is
When mom took me out of the Humane Society in 1996 it was PAWSOME! That place was a mess! I think it’s better now, as years have gone by and the conditions have greatly improved for kitties out there. Also, the ocean. I’ll never forget that breeze through my whiskers.

I can't live without
I LOVED catnip. And treats. And my “Woobie”... Which was actually a huge ball of yarn that I just carried around with me everywhere!

The naughtiest thing I've ever done is
In 1999 I escaped out of a 1st floor open window at my grandparents house- when my grandpa was painting the living room. At first I just sat on the ledge outside… But then I decided to wander a little further. Onto the driveway. Until the neighbor caught me and called my grandparents. I was headed back inside anyways.

The funniest thing I've ever done is
I jumped off the deck in Maine that summer- when my mom was away with the family shopping. Only the family’s grandmother was home, and she came running outside after me in just her bra and underwear… I told you, EVERYBODY loved me!

My favorite place to go is
I loved to go out onto the front yard and lay in the sun with my mom. Sometimes she would walk me on a leash and I loved it! I think I really was a dog trapped in a cat suit!

I'm completely obsessed with
CAT.NIP!!!!
