My Story
I’m Oliver! Aka Oliver James if mom is serious about something. My nickname is Ollydog.
Back in January, 2019, when I was 1-year old, Drew from iWag rescued me and my brother from a shelter in Georgia.
My mom found iWag by watching some of Kristie’s videos on Facebook last September, and she felt connected to their mission, and passion for rescue. She also loved that they are super unique because they have training programs for all of the adoptable dogs. She knew if she kept an eye out, the right dog would come along... then about 4 months later she saw a photo of a skinny fox red lab and his adorable spotted tongue... guess who that was???
On February 14, 2019, mom flew all the way from Wisconsin to meet me at the rescue in Temple, Georgia. Yea, I charmed her from the start! The ruff part was, I had to stay there for a 2 week training program, but I needed those beginning skills- because we are continuing training so I can get my Canine Good Citizen certificate, and work with kids as a therapy pup! But just as she promised, she came back to get me, and thus, the journey began- literally, since we DROVE home to Wisconsin.
Mom says I have the PERFECT personality to be a therapy pup. I’m amazing with kids, my tail is ALWAYS wagging... you just cannot have a bad day when I am around! It’s not allowed! Most of all, I feel the love on a daily basis, and that makes us the perfect team.

My favorite pastime is
Going to the dog park. Or, doing anything with my mom! I will follow her anywhere!

The best thing anyone's ever done for me is
When I was rescued from the shelter, I was given the chance to have a real life, and know what it feels like to be loved no matter what, for the rest of my life. Guaranteed!

I can't live without
Treats. And bones. Lots of bones! And tennis balls. And did I mention that I luhhhhve treats?!!?

The naughtiest thing I've ever done is
I chewed on a cord that happened to be attached to the vacuum cleaner. But that was many moons ago, and I rarely chew on things I’m not supposed to. I’ve got bones for days!!!

The funniest thing I've ever done is
On our way home to Wisconsin, mom and I stayed overnight at a canine friendly Airbnb- a fantastic family in Louisville Kentucky showed us some pawsome hospitality!! And my nose picked up on a smell that couldn’t be ignored... the family’s leftover taco meat. It was just sitting there on the kitchen counter- I thought it was part of their hospitality, so I did a little counter surfing... it was SOOOOO good! I licked that container clean! They laughed a lot, so maybe it was a little naughty, but it was mostly funny!

My favorite place to go is
To the beach. Any beach. As long as the sand is nice, and there are dead fish to roll in. That’s a smell that really sticks with a dog! It’s quite delightful!

I'm completely obsessed with
Rabbits. I tell ya, we have had some serious staring contests!!
...also, I’m obsessed with treats. Did I mention that??
