Rocket
Pet's Story or Bio
My husband and I adopted Rocket from a Bradenton rescue in 2010. When we first saw his picture online he was malnourished; he was practically bald and a bag of bones yet he still had a twinkle in his eye and we instantly fell in love and knew he was the one. Apperently he was found by animal services wandering aimlessly on the streets of Bradenton. It's truly a miracle that this little guy survived as long as he did between the predators and not getting hit by a car especially since he was less than 3 pounds! The day we did a meet and greet he had been neutered the day before. Despite being in pain from the surgery he still walked up to us with a wagging tail like he knew it was time to go home. It took a few weeks to get him to eat regularly since he wasn't use to eating. Six years later and my boy is still happy but a lot healthier at a trim 3.5 pounds. He's not your typical Chihuahua; he hardly barks, he's very social and he LOVES people, especially children. He never meets a stranger, only a friend he hasn't met yet. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives.
