A little about me...
On January 27th, 2023, I spotted Momo on the Humane Society of Tampa Bay's website. Her picture showed her completely shaved, labeled as an Akita mix. Something about her told me I had to go get her. The next morning, dressed as a pirate for Gasparilla, I head to the shelter, ready to meet her. Little did I know, Momo will become my lifeline.

When I bring Momo home, I quickly discover she is more husky than anything else. Her thick, plush fur grows back, and her playful howls and spirited energy reveal her husky lineage. A DNA test confirms she is a blend of husky, Akita, and Shiba Inu, but her husky traits—expressive talking and boundless energy—stand out the most.

The year following Momo's adoption turns out to be the hardest of my life. Each day felt like an uphill battle, but Momo stayed by my side through it all. Her keen sense of emotions is uncanny; she seems to know exactly when I need her most. On my darkest days, Momo's comforting presence and unwavering loyalty kept me going.

Momo’s zest for life is infectious. Her favorite activities are swimming and paddleboarding in the ocean. On the paddleboard, she is my co-captain, always alert and ready for adventure. In our backyard, you can find Momo laying in the sand of the volleyball court or sunbathing by pool. Her playful spirit is a constant reminder to find joy in the little things, even when times are tough.

Momo has a way of making everyone fall in love with her. She is so thankful when everyone shows up for her pup pawties and brings their furry friends. She constantly needs affection, and if she doesn't get it, she starts crying, her soulful eyes pleading for attention.

Momo finds her best friends in the "husky squad”, and she does everything with them. Her bond with her uncle Gator, a pitbull we adopted from the same shelter in 2020, is heartwarming. They are inseparable, their playful antics bringing joy to everyone around them.

Momo's journey from the Humane Society to my home is transformative, not just for her, but for me as well. She teaches me the true meaning of companionship and resilience. Her presence is a beacon of hope during my darkest days, and her love brings light into my life when I need it most.

Every day with Momo is an adventure, filled with love, laughter, and unwavering loyalty. She is more than just a pet; she is my confidante, my motivator, and my friend. Together, we navigate the waves of life, side by side, always ready for the next
